Brian’s interest in art began as a child in Africa sketching wildlife and scenery.

He showed talent in art throughout his schooling in Africa, Ireland and Australia. In 1973/4 Brian studied art briefly with Eastaus Art School in Brisbane, but is otherwise a self-taught artist.

Brian has woven a career in art through various lifestyles and travels, including three years as a commercial artist in Brisbane, many years as a custom airbrush artist, and twelve years living in the Northern Territory. While in Darwin, Brian held successful solo and combined art exhibitions, and the Northern Territory Parliament House has acquired his work.

His work has won awards at several regional and local art shows, including Caloundra Arts Festival, Kenilworth Arts Festival, Maroochy Arts Festival and Darwin Art Show.  Brian has painted Murals in Darwin and on the Sunshine coast, with several examples of his work in Woombye. Brian has also successfully completed community workshops and art projects with Nambour and Maroochy Libraries, Woombye State School, and Woombye Scouts.

Now residing near Nambour, Brian works full time as an artist, painting in Oils, Watercolours, Acrylics, Charcoal and other mediums. He has a gallery and studio/shop in Nambour at SHOP 3/7 Howard Street , does pavement chalk art and has various outlets for his paintings and art, which sell interstate and internationally. Brian’s colourful art is in increasing demand.
